We Are Working Really Hard And Are Doing Our Best To Do The Lords Will

Hello everyone!

Everything in Tabor City is going well! My new companion is Elder Allred. He is from Holliday Utah! He was in my zone in Fayetteville so I know him fairly well already! He has been out for 14 months. We are getting along really well so far and had a great week!

Missionary work is going very well. We got around to see a lot of people this week! M-- is doing great! We taught her twice this week, both times with active members with us. She is accepting and applying everything that we are teaching her. We had planned to follow up with how she is doing with quiting smoking. We had planned to help her set a quit date, but she had already done that! She is really determined to quit smoking so she can get baptized next month!

This week we had another mission leadership council. It went very well! I had the opportunity to teach at this meeting as well. That makes two leadership council's in a row I've had the opportunity to teach at! It went really well. We taught about how we can better help our active members overcome their fears of doing missionary work. We used Elder Ballard's last conference talk titled "Put Your Trust in the Lord." Elder Ballard listed two main things that prevent members from sharing the gospel. The first is fear. The second is a misunderstanding of what missionary success is. Overall it was a really good meeting that we learned a lot from. A main focus on the meeting was increasing our faith so we can have more power in our missionary work.

We had a really good lesson with the W-- family. They are less active but are really good people. He was the former Branch President but has become less active over the past few months. We were with a member who is great friends with them. It was really neat to see the members express their concern for the W-- family. We hope to see them come back to church soon. Along with the many other less active members we are working with because every one of them have friends who want them back in the church.

Sorry this letter is a little sparse. Just know that we are working really hard and are doing our best to do the Lords will here in Tabor City. Thank you for the updates on what is happening back home. I hope that y'all have a great week!
