She Said That At That Moment, She Felt A Lot of Good Feelings Inside That Made Her Excited to Be Baptied!

Hello everyone!

How are y'all doing? I hope you are enjoying your time at the cabin! Im sure it is a lot of fun getting to be out in the mountains and enjoying some time off. My week this week has also been very enjoyable! We are seeing a lot of miracles here in the Hope Mills 1st ward. It made me really happy to see that y'all applied the guidance from general conference about going to all three hours of church, even though you were on vacation. It was a great example of how sometimes when God commands us to do something, we are often times apprehensive at first, but when we do it, God will bless us and help us feel glad for following him.

Elder Thornton and I are getting along great! We worked really hard this week and are having a lot of fun at the same time. The H-- and B-- families are doing great! They all came to church and seemed to enjoy it! They are still good to be baptized on the 26th this month so we are really excited for that! We have had some really neat experiences with their family. When we asked them if they were excited to be baptized, one of them said that at that moment, she felt a lot of good feelings inside that made her excited to be baptized! Right now we are helping them to continue to learn and make friends at church.

We also started teaching a part member family and the family that lives in the same house with them. Brother P-- was baptized when he was young, but since fell away from activity after joining the army. His wife and their friends that live with them all seem to be really excited to learn about what we share and come to church and everything!

Everything else is going well! This week we had 8 of our investigators at church which was great for all of them to experience coming to church. We have Zone Conference coming up this Wednesday with our zone. We are really excited for that! President and Sister Bernhisel are going to be there along with the assistants. It is going to be a great meeting for our missionaries.

My companion Elder Thornton is from Grand Junction Colorado. He went to BYU for a year before his mission. He has been out 6 weeks less then I have and is a really great missionary! I feel like we will both reach our full potential serving together here in Hope Mills.

Thank you for your email and your support. It always makes me laugh when y'all send emails like this one. I also appreciate your great example in applying what you learned in General Conference. It inspires me to do the same. Thank you also for the spiritual quotes that you send each week. It always gives me a spiritual uplift when I read them. I hope that y'all have a great week!

Love Elder Mortensen
