Hello All,
This week has been a busy one because we have been covering two areas. It
is great to be teaching some new people from the Hampstead area. This week we
taught about the same amount of lessons as we have in the last weeks, but we
have been traveling a lot back and forth from Wilmington to Hampstead. Our new
companion is Elder Randall, from South Jordan, Utah. He has been out for about
15 months so he his a good addition to our young companionship. Elder Edman is
still doing really well and is a great teacher already!
So this week we did go to the temple in Raleigh! It was amazing. It is a
very small temple, but a very beautiful one. It was our whole zone who went to
the temple and we did an endowment session. It was so nice and refreshing to
return to the temple.
Now that we are covering two areas, we are spending more time with our elect investigators and less with those who arent currently progressing. It is really good to be around people who all have a sincere desire to learn. So our investigators are doing very well. Leon and Dana are doing great, but werent able to make it to church because Dana was sick. We are hoping she will be feeling better so she can still be baptized on the 29th. We also have some people we have been working with in Hampstead who may be getting baptized on the 29th and the week after so that is exciting!! Gordon is also doing very well. He loves the Book of Mormon! He says he reads it every day. He even reads it befor he goes to wrestling practice because it makes him feel good and pumps him up. He is the perfect example of someone who the Book of Mormon has changed. Not only does he read a lot, but he says that he thinks about it all of the time. Hopefully he will be getting baptized soon, because he is ready. He just wants to make sure that this is something that he will be commited to for the rest of his life before he gets baptized. His grandma is a member, but his grandpa is not a member.
Well I dont have a whole lot to say this week, just know that things are really busy here!! It sounds like it is also busy there as well, hopefully we can all keep up. The gospel is true!
Love, Elder Mortensen
PS. If I am sending a letter to somewhere outside of the US, does it need more stamps? Or anything special on it?
