We Were Very Happy When People We Taught Just Kept Coming and Coming

Dear family and friends,

We had a very good week this week. Our investigators are doing really well and are progressing well. We have seen a lot of miracles this week, but we also faced some struggles. For the last half of the week, my bike was out of commission. I got a lot of flat tires so we ended up having to walk everywhere. I never thought I could get so sore just from walking. For some reason the patches that I have do not work really well, so that is the reason for many of my tubes going flat. It may be the heat or something because it has been very hot and very humid lately. We did not teach as many lessons this week because it took more time to walk everywhere but on Sunday the blessings came. At church we had 15 investigators there... We were very happy when people we taught just kept coming and coming. Between the 4 missionary companionship's in the branch we had 25 investigators at Sacrament meeting. It is a testament to me that God is behind his work because of all the success that we are seeing in the branch.

Aye Meh is still doing well. She is 21. She should be getting baptized on The 15th if we can get her interview scheduled this week. She doesn't speak hardly any English, but really loves the way she feels when she comes to church. There are 3 people that we usually go with that do translation for us. They are Hthen Lay Pan, Eh Taw, and Tu Reh. Sometimes is is hard to convince them to come with us to lessons, but for the most part they are very willing to help us teach the gospel.

We have 4 other investigators with a baptismal date. Sway has one for the 29th of June. He understands everything pretty well, but we are not sure how committed he is to be a life long member. He is 12 years old and is a lot like most 12 year olds. The rest of them are Remo, her son Doh Reh and her brother Lee Reh. They have a baptismal date for October which is a ways away, but it is a slower process teaching the Burmese so that should be a good date for them.

It is crazy to think that summer is already here. I cant believe that Bri is graduated. I bet y'all are going to have a fun and busy summer. I hope everything goes well. Also tell Luke congrats on the mission call! He will be a great missionary.

Have a great week!

Love Elder Mortensen
